Himachal Pradesh Education Department: Every educational institution in the state will have to send a report of molestation cases to the Directorate on the 5th of every month
Shimla, June 28: Himachal Pradesh Education Department has taken strict action on the cases of molestation of girls being continuously reported from educational institutions of Himachal Pradesh.
Let us tell you that Himachal Pradesh Education Department had issued a notice to every educational institution in the state saying that the Sexual Harassment Committee will have to send the information of cases of molestation of girls to the Directorate on the 5th of every month, But these rules of the Education Department are not being followed by the educational institutions of the state.
Due to which now once again Himachal Pradesh Education Department has issued a reminder to every educational institution of the state to follow the rules and it has been said that in any case, the report of molestation cases will have to be sent to the Directorate on the 5th of every month and in case of not doing so, action will be taken against the heads of the educational institution.
Let us tell you that in the recent past, cases of molestation of girl students are coming to light in government schools of Himachal Pradesh. Although the Directorate of Higher Education has formed a sexual harassment committee in every educational institution of the state, despite that, there has been a continuous increase in the cases of molestation of girl students.
The girl students themselves are complaining of sexual abuse and molestation and in most of the cases, government school teachers are found to be the accused.
In such a situation, now once again the Himachal Pradesh Education Department has issued a reminder to all the educational institutions of the state to send the report of molestation cases to the Directorate on the 5th of every month.

This instruction has been issued by the Director of Higher Education, Dr. Amarjeet Sharma to all universities and colleges as well as schools.
In the month of June itself, three cases of molestation of girls in government schools have come to light.
In the first case, the girl students of a government school in Jwali of Kangra district have accused the teacher of molestation. The investigation revealed that the teacher used to do obscene acts with the girl students during studies.
The second case was of molestation of 11 girl students in a school in Chaupal on 19 June. In which the girl students from primary to high school complained of molestation by the shopkeeper of the shop adjacent to the school, after which the whole matter also came to light.
The third case was of molestation of four girl students of a government school in Jogindernagar area of ​​Mandi district on 21 June. After which the police has taken the head teacher of the school into custody.
