The Himachal Pradesh State Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Led Cabinet has approved the formation of State Selection Commission for recruitment in various departments, boards and corporations. This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Shimla.
This commission will work under the supervision of an IAS i.e. Chief Administrator and an HAS i.e. Administrator.

The Himachal Pradesh State Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Led Cabinet At Shimla Secretariat has approved the formation of State Selection Commission for recruitment in various departments, boards and corporations.
This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Shimla.
This commission will work under the supervision of an IAS i.e. Chief Administrator and an HAS i.e. Administrator.
Giving information about the decisions of the Cabinet, Industry Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan said that a bill in this regard will be brought in the upcoming monsoon session of the Assembly.
It has been decided to re-establish the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission because earlier the Himachal Pradesh Service Commission was a service board.
The Chief Minister and the Cabinet had dissolved the Hamirpur Service Board some time ago and this was decided by forming a committee.
The question was that what kind of selection board should it be?
So today the cabinet has reinstated it and the new Himachal Pradesh, which is Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission, has been established.
Out of which at present there will be a chief administrator who will be an IAS.
There will be an officer and an administrative officer who will be an HAS level officer. Apart from this there will be a joint controller who will be your objective director IT and law officer.
The Cabinet has also approved the filling of one thousand two hundred and twenty six posts of constable in the police department to curb drug abuse.
Apart from this, twelve posts of mining inspector and twenty four posts of assistant mining chief have been filled in the industry department to curb illegal mining activities.
And seventy-eight posts of mining guard will be filled.
Twelve hundred and twenty-six posts of police constable have been approved by the cabinet today in the police department, out of which one eight hundred and seventy posts will be male constables.
Two hundred posts of constable will be female constables And 57 will be drivers, police drivers.
This has been accepted because in Himachal Pradesh also the influx of drugs is increasing and among the youth, the increase of drugs among the youth is increasing, it has reached the schools. So the Chief Minister has established a special force, a special commando force, which will be 1226 people, whose work will be mainly on drugs, especially on drugs and in areas like Himachal Pradesh.
It will be its priority to stop the people who are coming in.
The Cabinet has also approved amendments in the Swarna Jayanti Energy Policy 2021 to manage energy shortage.
These amendments will encourage installation of rooftop solar projects and will also contribute to power generation.
In the Cabinet meeting, it has also been decided to increase the salary of SMC teachers and part-time water carriers working in the Education Department.
In this meeting organized on Hindi Day, it has also been approved to bring the future cabinet agenda in Hindi language.
