Himachal Politics: CM Sukhvinder Sukhu Said- Congress Government Settled 22 Thousand Families, BJP Should Show Its Contribution

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times,  Shimla, March 20: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the Himachal Pradesh government has done the work of settling more than 22 thousand disaster affected families of Himachal Pradesh with its limited resources. The CM said that the Himachal Pradesh government released a special relief package of Rs 4,500 crore for the relief and rehabilitation of the disaster affected without any assistance from the Central Government. Special relief package has helped thousands of disaster affected people. BJP leaders should explain their contribution to the public. CM said that BJP leaders of Himachal Pradesh continued to create obstacles in getting central help, due to which no special package has been given for the disaster affected families of Himachal Pradesh. CM said that rebel MLAs are being accommodated by BJP in expensive five star hotels outside Himachal Pradesh. Helicopter and chartered plane tours are being organized and BJP is also spending huge amount of money on their security.

CM Sukhu said that whenever it came to the interests of Himachal Pradesh, BJP leaders showed their anti-Himachal face. The people of Himachal Pradesh are now demanding answers from BJP leaders, but BJP is not able to answer them. CM said that during the monsoon session of the Assembly, when the proposal to declare the disaster in Himachal Pradesh as a national disaster and to give a special relief package was presented, the BJP leaders kept talking big for three days during the discussion. When it came to voting, BJP leaders did not stand with the people of Himachal Pradesh. Can these people be well-wishers of Himachal? Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the assistance amount for reconstruction of a completely damaged house has been increased from Rs 1.30 lakh to Rs 7 lakh, the assistance amount for partially damaged kutcha houses has been increased from Rs 6 thousand to Rs 1 lakh, The amount of assistance in case of damage to shops or dhabas has been increased from Rs 25 thousand to Rs 1 lakh and in case of damage to cowsheds, the amount of assistance has been increased from Rs 3 thousand to Rs 50 thousand. CM said that Himachal government is providing Rs 5,000 per month in rural areas and Rs 10,000 in urban areas as rent to the disaster affected people. CM said that he himself has come from an ordinary family and has reached the post of Chief Minister today. BJP only does politics, whereas Congress believes in working with a spirit of service. The people of Himachal Pradesh have well observed the Behaviour of the BJP and in the future the people will teach the BJP a lesson.

BJP’s move, character exposed in front of women power of Himachal Pradesh: Kewal Singh Pathania –

Kewal Singh Pathania, Deputy Chief Whip of the Congress government of Himachal Pradesh, said that former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jairam Thakur and BJP are the biggest obstacles in the path of economic prosperity of women. Kewal Singh Pathania said that Jairam Thakur does not want the money to come directly into the hands of eligible women. Kewal Singh Pathania said that former Jairam Government worked to cheat women during his tenure and now Jairam Thakur is busy in stopping the rights that women get from the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government. Kewal Singh Pathania said that BJP’s tactics, face and character have been exposed in front of the women power of Himachal Pradesh.

Kewal Singh Pathania said that Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur should explain why BJP wants to stop Rs 1500 from women. Why are opposition party leaders not liking the upliftment of women of Himachal Pradesh? Himachal Pradesh BJP should tell the people of Himachal Pradesh what steps Jairam Thakur took for the economic prosperity of women during the last five years in power in Himachal Pradesh. Kewal Singh Pathania said that Till some time ago, Jairam Thakur had been demanding to give Rs 1500-1500 to women daily, now when the Congress government has notified the entire scheme and has also made a provision of a budget of Rs 800 crore for the next financial year, then Why suddenly Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Samman Nidhi Yojana has started hurting Jairam Thakur.

Kewal Singh Pathania said that there is a lot of difference between the actions and words of BJP. The opposition party BJP does not want to see the women of Himachal Pradesh becoming economically strong. BJP considers women only as vote bank. Sukhu government is going to give Rs 1500 monthly to lakhs of eligible women from April 1, but BJP and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur are creating hurdles in it. The public has come to know that the intentions of BJP are flawed. Women will teach a strong lesson to BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly by-elections.
