Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 23: The Himachal Pradesh government has constituted a cabinet sub-committee on political matters after six disqualified Himachal Pradesh Congress MLAs and three independent MLAs defected to the BJP. Its chairman will be Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri. Three ministers have been made members. The General Administration Department (GAD) of Himachal Pradesh Government has issued its notification on Saturday.

Apart from political issues, this Cabinet sub-committee will also look into economic matters in Himachal Pradesh. Its members will be Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar, Industry Minister Harshwardhan Chouhan and Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi. All administrative secretaries have also been informed in this regard. This Cabinet sub-committee has been formed for damage control of the political situation that has been going on in Himachal Pradesh for some time.
