Himachal Police DGP Dr. Atul Verma: Ban imposed on reels and videos on social media by police personnel, order issued

The greatest joy comes when a Facebook page or YouTube channel gets monetized and starts paying a good amount of money.
Now Himachal Pradesh Police personnel are also earning money by making reels and videos.Also, women police personnel of Himachal Pradesh Police are earning more money.
There is a trend of making reels and videos by male and female personnel of Himachal Pradesh Police even in uniform.
Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police, Dr. Atul Verma, with immediate effect, has banned all policemen from making reels or any kind of video while in uniform and uploading it on social media platforms.
As per the orders of Himachal Pradesh DGP Dr. Atul Verma, any negligence by the policemen is going to be taken seriously.
The order by the DGP also states that Complaints are being received continuously that photos, videos, reels or story posts are being uploaded on social media platforms by some police officers and employees while in uniform. All these activities have nothing to do with duty.
Dr. Atul Verma has said that such content by police officers and employees on social media platforms is against the rules and standards of the police department.
Himachal Pradesh DGP Dr. Atul Verma has given instructions to all the District Superintendents of Police, Commandants, Unit Incharges and Supervisory Officers that He/She should tell all the police personnel working under him/her that uploading photos, videos, reels or stories on social media platforms while in uniform is against the rules.
Police personnel have also been asked by the DGP to refrain from sharing information about Himachal Pradesh Police Department and any official works in their personal social media accounts.
Himachal Pradesh Police personnel are continuously competing among themselves to make a reel and make it viral on social media.The competition increased so much that reels were being made in offices and even in police vehicles.Reels of policemen are also going viral on social media.
It is noteworthy that social activist Abhishek Goswami had raised a question regarding the continuous making of reels on social media by Himachal Pradesh Police personnel.
Social activist Abhishek Goswami had given a written complaint to Himachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Home Secretary Omkar Chand Sharma and Director General of Police Dr. Atul Verma demanding action against the police personnel.
Social activist Abhishek Goswami had said that police personnel are using their uniform to earn personal gains and the police personnel are dominating the social media by being in uniform.
