Himachal News : In the hour of disaster in the state, the Indian Air Force is providing relief to the people in far-flung areas by becoming an angel. Apart from evacuating tourists stranded in very remote areas of the state, Indian Air Force personnel also distributed ration and medicines to the local people and sheep herders. The delivery work is going on continuously.
Ration and medicines were delivered to the soldiers of the army and paramilitary forces in the border areas of Kinnaur district by the helicopter of the Indian Air Force. Due to landslides caused by heavy rains, many villages in Sangla valley of Kinnaur district and the army and paramilitary posts and roads in the border areas have also been completely blocked.
Due to which one tenth nine five tons of ration and essential medicines were delivered to Khan Dhoomti Vanital Thaj located at an altitude of thirteen thousand to fifteen thousand feet by Indian Air Force helicopter and eleven unwell soldiers were also evacuated safely.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to the children and elderly tourists stranded in the snow in the Chandratal Lake, Air Force helicopters had played an important role in providing relief material in addition to ration and medicine to half a dozen panchayats that were cut off from the world due to landslides in Kullu district.
Not only this, ration and many other types of relief materials were also provided by the army to the sheep farmers trapped in the high peaks.
