Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Una, April 22:ASI Nirmal Patial of Haroli police station of Una district of Himachal Pradesh was arrested by the team led by DSP Vigilance Kulwinder Singh of State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau. He has been caught red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 from one party to settle a fight between two parties.
DSP Vigilance Kulwinder Singh said that in the complaint lodged by Ankish Kumar of Bhadsali village of Haroli sub-division in State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau Una, it was stated that ASI Nirmal Patial of Haroli police station has asked him to pay a bribe of three thousand rupees for a peaceful settlement of his assault case.
Then Vigilance made a plan and asked complainant Ankish Kumar to give Vigilance’s currency notes to ASI Nirmal Patial and ASI Nirmal Patial immediately kept three thousand in his pocket. That’s why Vigilance first caught ASI Nirmal Patial and also got three thousand taken out. A case has been registered under the Anti-Corruption Act and taken on remand.
