Himachal News: Two youths arrested with more than 4 grams of chitta

The team of Dharampur Police Station has identified the accused youths as Christopher Brahma (25), son of Rishi Brahma, resident of village and post office Runikhara, tehsil Shitli, district Chirang, Assam and Ankit Kumar (24), son of Sonu Kumar, resident of post office Taradevi, tehsil and district Shimla.

Solan, July 20: The team of Dharmpur Police Station of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh recovered more than 4 grams of chitta from two youths near Sanwara toll plaza during patrolling for the purpose of prevention of crimes. Dharmpur Police has arrested the accused.

According to the information received, the team of Dharampur Police Station was present near Sanwara toll plaza during patrolling. During this time, the vehicle was stopped for checking which was coming from Parwanoo. During checking, more than 4 grams of chitta was recovered from the vehicle. A case has been registered against both the youths in Dharampur Police Station under NDPS 21 and 29 and they have been arrested.

The team of Dharampur Police Station has identified the accused youths as Christopher Brahma (25), son of Rishi Brahma, resident of village and post office Runikhara, tehsil Shitli, district Chirang, Assam and Ankit Kumar (24), son of Sonu Kumar, resident of post office Taradevi, tehsil and district Shimla.

During investigation it was found that accused Ankit Kumar has been involved in criminal activities earlier also. A case has already been registered against him under the Narcotics Act in Sundernagar Police Station, Mandi District.

The previous criminal record of the second accused Christopher Brahma is being investigated.

Dharmpur Police is investigating the case and strict action is being taken against the accused. Dharmpur Police has also seized the vehicle involved in the incident.
