In this sequence, Theog police, on the information of an informer, has succeeded in arresting two smugglers hailing from Haryana. The arrested smugglers are residents of Hisar and Bhawani in Haryana. 49 grams of heroin has been recovered from them. The international price of this drug has been estimated at Rs 5 lakh.

Regarding this arrest, DSP Theog Siddharth Sharma said that late Thursday evening, Theog police had received information that two people traveling in a Haryana number Swift Dezire car were involved in drug smuggling and were going from Kufri towards Theog.

On this information, the Theog police set up a naka near Fagu and stopped the car number (HR26CG -1183) for inspection and during the search, police recovered 49 grams of heroin from two youths traveling in the car. 49 grams of heroin price in the international market is Rs 5 lakh. The smugglers were planning to sell this heroin further in small quantities.

DSP Siddharth Sharma said that the accused arrested with heroin have been identified as Manoj Kumar (32), resident of Bhawani, Haryana and Anil Kumar (41), resident of Hisar, Haryana.

A case has been registered against them under NDPS Act and action is being taken. Both the accused will be produced in the court and taken on remand.
