Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Mandi, April 09: A 6-year-old girl and a JCB driver died in two tragic road accidents in Mandi district on Tuesday.
In the first accident, a 6-year-old innocent girl died after being hit by a car at Bali Chowki Zero Point in Seraj area on Tuesday morning. The car also overturned on the road during the accident. Police have arrested the driver, registered a case and started further action.
According to the information, when the Alto coming from Banjar towards Aut reached the zero point on Tuesday morning, Purvi, the six-year-old daughter of the person running the dhaba here, got hit by the car. The innocent girl was seriously injured in the accident. According to eyewitnesses, the driver turned the car to the other side to save the girl, but the girl got hit by it. After the accident, the car also overturned on the road. The seriously injured girl was immediately taken to the Community Health Center Banjar for first aid, but the girl died on the way.

On the other hand, police post in-charge Ram Krishna confirmed that as soon as the information was received, the local police reached the spot and started investigation. Purvi has died there. The body will be handed over to the family after post-mortem.
The second accident is of Public Works Department, Janjehli. The driver of a JCB died and another was seriously injured in an accident near Chiuni Bus Stand on Tuesday morning.

According to the information received, the JCB of the Public Works Department, Janjehli, was going to its work in Chiuni. Meanwhile, the machine went out of control and fell down the road, due to which the driver died after being hit by the JCB. The second person has been injured, who has been admitted to Janjehli Hospital for treatment. The deceased has been identified as Roop Singh (56), son of Hari Singh, resident of Dadhon, while the injured person has been identified as Dimple Kumar (22), son of Deep Kumar, resident of Dadhon. On the other hand, DSP Karsog confirmed the incident and said that the police have registered a case and sent the body for postmortem.
