Supreme Court rejects all transfer petitions of Himachal Pradesh government in CPS appointment case –

All the transfer petitions of Himachal Pradesh Government in the matter of appointment of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) in Himachal Pradesh have been rejected by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.

The transfer petition application was filed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh to the Hon’ble Supreme Court to hear the transfer cases of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS).

The Government of Himachal Pradesh has filed an application to transfer the petitions related to the appointments of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) from the Himachal Pradesh High Court to the Honorable Supreme Court for full hearing.

Six Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) have been appointed in the current ruling Congress government in Himachal Pradesh.

All Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) have also been clubbed with the posts of ministers.

In the CPS appointment case, BJP MLA Satpal Singh Satti and some other leaders had challenged the Himachal Pradesh High Court regarding the appointments of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS).

The full hearing of the appointment case of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) in the Himachal Pradesh High Court was scheduled for December 7 by the judicial bench.

BJP MLA Satpal Singh Satti had challenged the appointment of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) in the Himachal Pradesh High Court, terming all these appointments as posts of profit-seeking politicians.

On the other hand, the appointments of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) were challenged in the Himachal Pradesh High Court with three important petitions.

First of all, in 2016, the issue of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) was challenged by the organization People for Responsible Governance.

An application was filed seeking to make them respondents on the appointments to the posts of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) made by the new Congress government of Himachal Pradesh.

After the presentation of the application petition, Kalpana Devi, a resident of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, also filed a petition in the Himachal Pradesh High Court regarding the appointments of Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS).

Meanwhile, MLA Satpal Singh Satti had challenged the appointment of all the Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) including the Deputy Chief Minister in the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

The current government of the ruling Congress Party of Himachal Pradesh includes CPS Sanjay Awasthi from Arki Assembly Constituency, CPS Sundar Singh Thakur from Kullu Assembly Constituency, CPS Ram Kumar from Doon Assembly Constituency, CPS Mohan Lal Brakta from Rohru Assembly Constituency, CPS Ashish from Palampur Assembly Constituency. The appointments of CPS Kishori Lal from Butail and Baijnath assembly constituencies were challenged in the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh BJP Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the historic decision of the Honorable Supreme Court is the biggest blow to the ruling Congress Party government of Himachal Pradesh.
