Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Una, June 06 :Martyred soldier Kulwinder Singh, a resident of Pandoga under subdivision Haroli of Una district of Himachal Pradesh and a soldier of the Dogra Regiment, was cremated with state honors on Thursday in the cremation ground of his native village.

Let us tell you that martyr Kulwinder Singh was badly burnt in an attempt to control the massive fire that broke out in the Army camp in Jammu 20 days ago. After which Kulwinder Singh was admitted to the Army Hospital, Udhampur.

Doctors made every possible effort to save Kulwinder Singh who was admitted to Army Hospital Udhampur for the entire twenty days, but Kulwinder Singh was so badly burnt in the fierce fire that on Tuesday Kulwinder Singh sacrificed his life at the feet of Mother India.

Martyr soldier Kulwinder Singh’s wife and two sons aged eleven and eight years are left alone.

On Thursday, hundreds of people gave a tearful farewell to martyr Kulwinder Singh.

Martyr Kulwinder Singh was given a final farewell with state honors and his fellow soldiers remembered his sacrifice by firing in the air.

Apart from this, SDM Haroli and DSP Headquarters from Una District Administration made a special presence and attended the funeral of martyr Kulwinder Singh and paid tribute to him with tearful eyes.

It is worth mentioning that martyr Kulwinder Singh was the elder brother of Panchayat Pradhan Gulwinder Singh Goldy of his native village.
