Shimla, June 17: A case of theft has come to light at the Naga Tikkar temple located in Theog sub-division of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.The thief has committed the crime of stealing the silver and gold Chatra from Naga Tikkar temple.

A complaint was lodged by the head of Naga Tikkar Temple Committee, Hira Singh, with the Theog Police Station in-charge regarding the theft of silver and gold Chatras, on which the Theog Police Station in-charge and his team took immediate action and arrested the accused who had stolen the Chatras.

The head of the Naga Tikker Temple Committee, Hira Singh, a resident of village Banchu, Tehsil Theog, District Shimla, in a complaint lodged with the Theog Police Station in-charge, stated that he is the head of the Naga Tikkar Temple Committee.

In the complaint lodged, Hira Singh said that a wood cutting tool and the bell of Naga Tikkar temple were also stolen. Hira Singh also suspected a person of theft. Immediately after which, Theog Police Station In-charge and his team caught the accused and the accused confessed to the theft incident in Naga Tikkar temple.

The accused Rajendra alias Rinku has been taken on police remand by Theog Police Station In-charge.

DSP Theog Siddharth Sharma said that during the remand, the accused Rajendra alias Rinku is being interrogated rigorously by the Theog police station in-charge.

Siddharth Sharma said that in connection with the theft of silver and gold umbrella from Naga Tikkar temple, on the basis of complaint of Naga Tikkar temple committee head Hira Singh, Theog police station in-charge has registered a case against accused Rajendra alias Rinku under section 454, 380 of IPC and further action process has been started.
