Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Solan, April 14: There is a sensation due to the murder of a woman in Saproon, a few kilometers away from Solan city of Himachal Pradesh. The woman has been identified as Rashmi, wife of Ashwani Kumar, resident of Saproon’s Kalin. Although the police recovered the body on Saturday, the body was inspected on Sunday in the presence of the maternal side. On Saturday morning, police had received information from Solan Hospital that a woman had been brought dead.

The body was kept in the mortuary for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the deceased’s maternal home in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh was informed. The post-mortem of the dead body was not conducted before the maternal side arrived. After the arrival of the deceased’s relatives, the body was inspected. Injuries were found on the body, scratch marks were also found on the neck. The body has been sent to IGMC Shimla for post-mortem.

The statements of the relatives of the deceased have been recorded under CrPC 154. Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh said that a case has been registered under section 302 of the IPC on Sunday. On the basis of suspicion, the deceased’s husband Ashwani has been detained and is being interrogated.
