Himachal News: Provision of Rs 144.01 Crore Under MLA Area Development Fund Scheme, Rs 74.84 Crore Released To Districts
A provision of Rs 144.01 crore has been made under the Himachal Pradesh Government’s MLA Area Development Fund Scheme, in which an amount of Rs 74.84 crore has also been released today to all the twelve districts of Himachal Pradesh.Himachal Pradesh Government has increased the budget of MLA Area Development Fund Scheme for the year 2023.

Shimla – A provision of Rs 144.01 crore has been made under the Himachal Pradesh Government’s MLA Area Development Fund Scheme, in which an amount of Rs 74.84 crore has also been released today to all the twelve districts of Himachal Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh Government has increased the budget of MLA Area Development Fund Scheme for the year 2023.
On the other hand, keeping in mind the huge damage caused in the entire Himachal Pradesh during the rains, major changes have been made in the Himachal Pradesh MLA Area Development Fund Scheme by the Sukhu Government.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu released an amount of Rs 74.84 crore for all twelve districts under Himachal Pradesh MLA Area Development Fund Scheme –
Himachal Pradesh government has increased the budget of MLA Area Development Fund Scheme for the year 2023 to Rs 144.01 crore.
Also, keeping in mind the entire loss caused due to heavy rainfall during rainy season in Himachal Pradesh, the amount of MLA Area Development Fund Scheme has been increased.
Under Himachal Pradesh MLA Area Development Fund Scheme, a provision of Rs 2.10 crore has been released under each constituency in the financial year 2023-24.
A budget provision of Rs 144.01 crore has been made under the Himachal Pradesh Area Development Fund Scheme.
Till October 15, 2023, two installments of Rs 74.84 crore have been released to all the twelve districts.
Under Himachal Pradesh Area Development Fund Scheme, provision has also been made for repair of security walls and channelization of drains.
In the year 2019-2020, an amount of Rs 97.98 crore was released under the Himachal Pradesh MLA Area Development Fund Scheme, while an amount of Rs 32.66 crore was released for the year 2020-2021, and Rs 122.40 crore for the year 2021-2022. An amount of Rs.103.34 crore was released for 2022-23.
Himachal Pradesh Government has increased the MLA Development Fund Scheme by approximately Rs 41 crore this year due to the heart-wrenching rains, landslides and natural disasters in Himachal Pradesh.
Under the Himachal Pradesh MLA Area Development Fund Scheme, construction work of newly constructed rooms of all schools, construction work of Ayurvedic dispensaries, construction work of veterinary dispensaries in Himachal Pradesh, construction work of health sub-centres in Himachal Pradesh, construction work of installation of hand pumps, newly constructed Construction of community buildings, construction of special roads to re-establish connectivity with all the districts in Himachal Pradesh and all other major construction works will be done under the Himachal Pradesh MLA Area Development Fund Scheme.
Under the Himachal Pradesh MLA Area Development Fund Scheme, construction work of small bridges for rural roads, road construction work in pucca rural areas, drinking water supply schemes for all habitations, irrigation projects, construction of toilets in all government schools, all in rural areas. Electrification of houses, renovation of government school buildings, reconstruction of all sports grounds will also be done under Himachal Pradesh MLA Area Development Fund Scheme.
Along with this, construction work of newly constructed gyms in panchayats and cities of all the districts, construction work and maintenance of bus stands, renovation of buildings, repair and maintenance of roads, installation of Wi-Fi in community buildings, provision of seating for children in all schools. Arrangements, sports material, beds and blankets in all district hospitals have also been included under the Himachal Pradesh MLA Area Development Fund Scheme.
Under the Himachal Pradesh MLA Area Development Fund Scheme, utensils and furniture for all Mahila Mandals, sports material for all Youth Mandals and women of all self-help groups, a maximum grant amount of fifty thousand rupees per group will be provided.
The construction works to be done in the memory of all the martyrs in Himachal Pradesh will also be done under the Himachal Pradesh MLA Area Development Fund Scheme.
Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that in order to compensate for the losses caused by the devastating rains, landslides and natural disasters in Himachal Pradesh, the Himachal Pradesh Government has revised the amount of the MLA Area Development Fund Scheme and has given it to all the people.
