Kandaghat, July 20: One person died and two were injured in a road accident in Kandaghat subdivision of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Kandaghat police has started investigation into the cause of the accident. Local residents Heera Lal and Chandra Dutt were transporting tomatoes from their fields. Meanwhile, they saw that a pickup vehicle was falling off the road into the ravine. They immediately reached the spot and found that a person was lying outside the pickup in the ravine and was unconscious.
Another person was stuck near the steering on the driver’s seat of the pickup, while another person was stuck near the conductor side window. They found that unfortunately one person had died on the spot. The injured were lifted from the ravine and brought to the road. After this, they were taken for treatment by 108 ambulance.
This accident happened due to careless driving by the pickup driver. Kandaghat police have registered a case under sections 281, 125 (A) and 106 (1), 325.
