Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has alleged that mafia rule dominates in the state. He said that the mafia has become a cause of trouble for the common people, but now it is not leaving the police too.

He also said that instead of giving shelter to the mining mafia, the government should provide relief to the affected. The Leader of the Opposition said that the ministers should understand the ground reality of illegal mining in the state and take strict action against such people.
Jairam Thakur also demanded the government to speed up the relief work for the disaster victims, he said that there are still many places in Himachal Pradesh where relief has not reached even after two weeks of the disaster.
