Himachal News : It will rain heavily in Himachal Pradesh till this day
Monsoon has remained active in most parts of the state during the last 24 hours. Rainfall is continuing intermittently in most of the districts including capital Shimla.
After this rain, the water level of the river drains has increased and due to landslides at some places, the roadways are getting blocked again and again. However, efforts are on to open these roads.
Here in Sirmour district, due to heavy rains, all four gates of girijtone dam have been opened due to increase in water level of Giri river. Due to which a precautionary alert has been issued by the administration in the plains.
In Sirmour district, heavy rains have continued since late night. Torrential rains are lashing most areas of the district including the district headquarters Nahan. Due to heavy rains, all four gates of Girijtone dam were opened due to rise in water level of Giri river and people have been advised to be vigilant while issuing flood and landslide alert for the plains.
On the other hand, many houses in Sattiwala of Nahan assembly constituency have also become at risk due to rising water level. The district administration is appealing to the people to remain alert continuously. Let us also tell you that today another yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department for Sirmour district.
On the other hand, the weather is likely to continue to be bad till the next 26th July. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rains in many parts today. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy monsoon rains in the state till 25th July.
