Kangra- A Himachal Pradesh Police soldier has died on the spot due to a grenade explosion in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.
He was going out of the police station premises with the team that had gone out for night patrolling. As soon as he came out of the police station premises, the hand grenade kept in the bag worn by Head Constable Balbir Chand suddenly got explosive and exploded. In the entire incident, Balveer Chand was seriously injured and fell down.

A Himachal Pradesh Police jawan under the Border Security Force (BSF), deployed on election duty in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday, died on the spot due to the explosion of a grenade in his hand.
According to complete information received from Chhattisgarh Police, the incident of explosion took place at a time when a team of 70th battalion of Border Security Force (BSF), serving in Katekalyan police station of Dantewada district for election duty, started a complete search operation Was about to Start In Dantewada assembly elections .
The team of all the soldiers along with the teams were coming out together from the Katekalyan police station premises for patrolling at night and on the entire election duty, when suddenly a complete hand grenade bomb was kept in the bag worn by Chief Head Constable of Himachal Pradesh Police Balbir Chand. It had burst suddenly. Head constable Balbir Chand was seriously injured and fell down due to the sudden explosion of the hand grenade bomb.
Due to which Head Constable Balbir Chand was immediately admitted to Dantewada District Hospital, where after a short treatment, Head Constable Balbir Chand died and the team of doctors also made every effort but somehow Head Constable Balbir Chand died And Due To The Explosion of Grenade Head Constable Balbir Chand Could not be saved.
Head Constable Balbir Chand was a resident of Nerna village located near Raja Ka Talab under Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh Police and Dantewada Range of Chhattisgarh Police Administration has provided information about the entire incident to all the family members of Head Constable Balbir Chand.
On the other hand, Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh is under all the twenty assembly constituencies of the state, where on November 7, Head Constable Balbir Chand was deployed to handle the election duties of the voting phases of the first assembly elections.
