A couple and their child died after being hit by a landslide in a village in Shimla. The deceased have been identified as Anil, his wife Kiran and son Swapnil. Jaichand and his wife Veena Devi were injured in the incident. Due to bad weather, a devotee also died after slipping on a glacier on the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra route.

The incident took place during the climb on the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra, the rescue team has recovered a dead body while the search operation is facing difficulties due to bad weather. In view of the bad weather, the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra has been postponed for two days. The district administration has postponed the class tracking journey in north district also due to heavy rains and landslides.

On the other hand, one person has died after being hit by a landslide at Takian in Chamba district. The deceased has been identified as Kishori Lal, a resident of Delhi village. Due to heavy rains in the district, all Rivers and drains are in spate and the district administration has advised people to move out of their houses only when necessary.
