Know how the accused cheated –

A person from Yashwant Vihar area of ​​Sirmaur district headquarters Nahan lodged a complaint with the Sadar police station in-charge that first he was added to a WhatsApp group and after that a person named Professor Siddharth used to share stock market updates daily in that group. Then after some time, the victim was added to another group, in which information related to the stock market was also shared daily.

Nahan man fell prey to the trap of high returns –

The victim told that a few days later, a scheme was run by investors in the same WhatsApp group, in which high returns were guaranteed. Along with this, a video of praise of Prof. Siddharth for getting high returns was also shared by some people in the group. After this, the accused gave information to the victim about opening an account on an app and its benefits, then the victim uploaded his Aadhar card and PAN card number, and the message of account approval was given in that app.

A person from Nahan was cheated by opening an account –

On May 2, 2024, the victim put Rs 50,000 in the personal account shared by the fraudsters on WhatsApp. Then the victim put another Rs 3 lakh in the personal account of the fraudsters, on May 6, 2024, when the victim tried to withdraw Rs 10,000, Amount came to his PNB account after 2-3 hours.After that, the victim got more confidence in the fraudsters.The fraudsters formed a group of three people, in which Prof. Siddharth and another person were kept, and the victim was encouraged to invest more amount.

The entire money of the family was given to the fraudsters –

On May 8, the victim transferred Rs 4.81 lakh from his wife’s account and Rs 55,000 on May 14 to the fraudsters’ account. The fraudsters lured the victim with a luxurious life and asked him to invest more. But when the victim refused to invest more, the fraudsters lured him with a loan of Rs 20 lakh without interest. After that, the victim invested Rs 28 lakh by taking credit from his father.

He became a victim of such a big fraud that he did not even know –

On May 30, 2024, when the victim Vikram Singh came home, his wife showed him a video on YouTube, in which it was clearly told that this app is a scam app.After seeing the YouTube video, the victim Vikram Singh immediately went to his Punjab National Bank and got information about the account in which he deposited money, then it was found that that account has already been frozen by someone.

On the complaint of the victim Vikram Singh, a case has been registered under section 420 (IPC) of the IPC against the unknown accused of fraud by the Sadar Police Station in-charge and the investigation of the entire case has been handed over to the cyber police.
