Himachal News: Elder brother killed younger brother due to land dispute and then surrendered
Sundernagar, July 16: In Kothi area of ​​Balh subdivision of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, the elder brother has killed the younger brother due to land dispute. It is being told that in the whole case, there was a land dispute going on between the two brothers for a long time. At the same time, the team of Balh police station has registered a case of murder against the accused elder brother and started investigation. Along with this, the Balh police station in-charge has also arrested the accused elder brother.
According to the information received, the complainant Bhishma Dev, age 51 years, son of Chunni Lal, resident of village Kawalkot post office Kothi Tehsil Balh, has lodged a complaint with the Balh police station in-charge that he had gone to the ration and vegetable shop of Lekh Ram son of Muni Lal village and post office Mairamsit Tehsil Balh to buy beedi.
During this time, Lekh Ram’s brother Jagdish Kumar came to the shop in an inebriated condition and started picking up the benches, tables and weighing scales kept there and throwing them on the road. When Lekh Ram opposed this, Jagdish beat him up and threw him on the ground.

When the complainant Bhishma Dev himself tried to free Lekh Ram, the accused Jagdish Kumar hit him on the head with a stone. Due to which the complainant Bhishma Dev fell unconscious. After which Lekh Ram was taken to CHC Ratti for treatment. From where he was referred to Medical College Nerchowk. But Lekh Ram died there. After conducting the postmortem of the deceased’s body in Medical College Nerchowk, it has been handed over to the family. The injured Bhishma Dev has been discharged from the hospital.
Confirming the entire case, ASP Sagar Chandra said that the Balh police team has registered a case of murder against the accused Jagdish Kumar and investigation is going on. He said that the accused Jagdish Kumar has surrendered himself after reaching Balh Police Station.
