Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday released the annual report of Himachal Pradesh District Good Governance Administration Index – 2022 released by the Department of Economics and Statistics.
Himachal Pradesh District Administration Good Governance Index Report-2022 mainly includes eight core topics, 19 focal points and 90 specific factors.
According to the new ranking of Himachal Pradesh District Administration Good Governance Index Report Year-2022, District Kangra has been given the first prize of Rs 50 lakh, Hamirpur district has been given the second prize of Rs 35 lakh and Tribal District Lahaul-Spiti has been given the third prize of Rs 25 lakh. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that for the welfare of the people, there is an absolute need for a transparent and accountable government with good governance in Himachal Pradesh.
CM Sukhu said that the most important unit of district administration and state governance is the district.
The most important district governance and good governance indicators should be measured prominently for the implementation of citizen welfare schemes and programs run by the district administration and for inclusive growth.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that keeping in view the current situation of Himachal Pradesh and the upcoming challenges, there is a need for a major change in all the paradigms of development in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

The fourth report of Himachal Pradesh District Administration Good Governance Index has been prepared on the basis of secondary data of 12 districts only.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that Himachal Pradesh is the first state in the country, which has started the work of measuring the quality of Himachal Pradesh administration in all administrative important areas.
Himachal Pradesh District Good Governance Administration Index Report Index-2022 prominently covers eight core themes namely essential infrastructure, human development decisions, social protections, women and children, major crime, major law and order, environment, transparency and accountability and economic performance. At the second level, 19 focal points have been kept, each of which includes electricity, water, roads and education, health, public distribution scheme, social justice, employment, all related issues of children and women, violent crimes, law and order. Ranking of all twelve districts of Himachal Pradesh has been provided on the basis of three-tier evaluations of district level indices.
