In this series, on Tuesday and Wednesday, Mandi Police has created a blockade under Sadar and Aut police stations and registered four cases under the NDPS Act and arrested five people. Whereas two youths who were coming with a consignment of Chitta near Mangwai, jumped into the 40 feet drop towards Suketi Khad. One accused has been arrested. Who is undergoing treatment in Zonal Hospital Mandi. While the SDRF and police team searched for the second absconding accused throughout the day, but could not find any clue. In a total of four cases, the Mandi police have recovered a total of 886 grams of charas and a total of 56.64 grams of chitta.

According to the information received from Mandi Police, during the blockade near Pulgharat of Mandi on Tuesday night, the team of Police Station Sadar has recovered 12.66 grams of chitta from Rahul resident of village and post office Talyahar Tehsil Sadar and Rishiraj resident of village and post office Gutkar Tehsil Balh district Mandi. During this, both the accused suddenly dodged the police and ran away from the spot. both the accused also jumped about 30-40 feet from Dhank towards Suketi Khad. The police cordoned off both sides of the ravine and tried to catch them. One of the accused, Rahul, was caught by the police team. Accused Rahul suffered injuries after jumping into Suketi. Whose treatment is being done in the zonal hospital mandi. The second accused Rishiraj escaped taking advantage of the darkness. Whose search was done in Suketi Khad and surrounding areas, but till now no clue of the accused has been found. At night, when the police used torches, the absconding accused would enter the water. In view of the possibility of drowning in the standing water of Suketi Khad, a search operation was conducted by calling SDRF team from Wednesday morning till afternoon, but no clue was found. The accused’s brother and friends have told that he is a good swimmer. In such a situation, the chances of drowning are less. Both the accused are addicted to chitta and have also been admitted to the drug de-addiction centre.

At the same time, during the blockade, the team of Police Station Sadar has recovered 11.61 grams of Chitta from Rakesh Kumar resident of village Jandrog Dr. Gawali Tehsil Padhar District Mandi and Deepak Kumar resident of Dalah Tehsil Padhar District Mandi. The accused have been given police remand for three days. Apart from this, during the blockade, the team of police station Sadar Mandi has recovered 32.37 grams of chitta from Vinayak resident of Mohalla Chaugan post office and tehsil Chamba and Harish Kumar resident of village and post office Shikawari tehsil Thunag district Mandi. They have also been given police remand for three days. On the other hand, ASP Sagar Chandra said that the interrogation of the accused caught with the drug consignment is going on. Teams are also active to nab the absconding accused.

Charas Recovered From Scooter, Accused Ran Away After Seeing Police –

On the basis of secret information, the team of Aut police station recovered 886 grams of hashish from the scooty of Ram Lal resident of village and post office Sachani tehsil Bhuntar district Kullu. Seeing the police team, the accused left the scooter and ran away. Whose search is going on. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act in the police station Aut.
