Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 24:Â There has been a ban on the appointment of teachers and non-teachers on the basis of PTA, period and work load in degree and Sanskrit colleges of Himachal Pradesh. In this regard, the Directorate of Higher Education issued orders to the principals of all the colleges. It has been clarified in the letter that financial assistance will not be given from Himachal Government for such appointments.

It has been clarified in the letter that in case of any legal hurdles in future, the concerned college principal will be responsible. Education Department officials said that the Himachal Government has received complaints regarding continuous making of such appointments.

After making such appointments, the concerned teacher or non-teacher is also seeking refuge in the Himachal High Court for permanent retention. In such a situation, Himachal Government has taken strict action in this regard and has issued orders not to make such appointments at the college level.

Director of Higher Education Dr. Amarjeet Kumar Sharma said that no teacher or non-teacher can be appointed temporarily in colleges. Reports have been sought from the colleges where such appointments have been made. Financial assistance will not be provided for these appointments by Himachal Government.
