Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has given additional portfolios to his seven cabinet ministers on Friday.

Just before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, CM Sukhu has, in a way, achieved political balance. Jagat Singh Negi, Rajesh Dharmani and Yadavindra Goma have been made heavyweight ministers in the Himachal Pradesh government by CM Sukhu, while Harshvardhan Chauhan and Vikramaditya Singh have also been given big portfolios by CM Sukhu.

However, Education Minister Rohit Thakur has been given only the Printing and Stationery Department. The reason for this is that Rohit Thakur already has a big department of education.

Showing great courage to control all kinds of damage, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has reduced his own departments and distributed them among those ministers in order to keep his ministers happy and satisfied. Industries and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan is now going to have the Department of Industries, Parliamentary Affairs and Labor and Employment. Harshvardhan Chauhan has been given the new department of Labor and Employment by CM Sukhu. The Labor and Employment Department was earlier with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Yadavindra Goma, the newly appointed minister in the Himachal Pradesh government, was given the AYUSH department back from Harshvardhan Chauhan.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has given a new department Public Grievance Redressal to Minister Jagat Singh Negi. Minister Jagat Singh Negi now has four departments Revenue, Horticulture, Tribal Development and Public Grievance Redressal. In this way, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed special confidence in Jagat Singh Negi. Minister Jagat Singh Negi has now become a heavyweight minister with four departments after Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri also has four departments.

Last month, the departments of technical education, vocational and industrial training were taken back from Education Minister Rohit Thakur by CM Sukhu and given to Rajesh Dharmani. Rajesh Dharmani’s supporters did not seem very satisfied with this, while Rajesh Dharmani is an old friend of the Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, but Chief Minister Sukhu increased his stature by giving the city planning and housing departments kept with him to Rajesh Dharmani. Similarly, Yadavindra Goma, the newly appointed minister in Himachal Pradesh government, was given the Youth Services and Sports department from Vikramaditya Singh.
Due to which there was a feeling of dissatisfaction among the supporters of Vikramaditya Singh, but Vikramaditya Singh already has a big department like Public Works. Now by giving urban development department to Vikramaditya Singh, another big department has been given to Vikramaditya Singh by CM Sukhu.

Expressing confidence in the new minister Yadavindra Goma in the Himachal Pradesh government, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has given him the additional responsibility of the Law Department. Due to which Yadavindra Goma also has three departments. The technical education department was given to newly appointed minister Rajesh Dharmani from Education Minister Rohit Thakur. He was left with higher education and primary education. Now Rohit Thakur has been given the printing and stationery department by CM Sukhu.

Last month, by withdrawing the portfolios from the ministers, CM Sukhu kept checking the pulse of all the ministers –

Last month, Chief Minister Sukhu has been gauging the pulse of him and his supporters by withdrawing portfolios from three ministers and giving them to two new ministers. During this month, some ministers have shown a lot of restraint while some ministers have been expressing their unhappiness through their supporters or indirectly.

CM Sukhu, who reached the top of power through the Congress Party organization, has shown political balance by throwing away his trump card and showing prudence in portfolio allocation just after a month.
