Hamirpur, 24 July: A minor died due to electric shock in Jolpalahi village panchayat under Sujanpur police station in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. The incident occurred around 12 noon.

Sujanpur Police Station in-charge Mastram Nayak said that a minor youth in Ward No. 1 of Jolpalahi Gram Panchayat was ironing clothes at his home in the afternoon. During this time, the youth got electric shock. After which the family took him to Civil Hospital Sujanpur in an unconscious state, but by then he had died.

It is being told that the minor youth was a student of class 8 and studied in a school in the nearby Panchayat. The police reached the spot and registered a case and took the body into custody. The body has been sent for post-mortem to Medical College Hamirpur. The cause of death is also being investigated.
