Himachal High Court: Despite Model Code of Conduct, notification issued for transfer of twenty-seven judges without permission

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, May 02:In view of the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha elections and assembly by-elections in Himachal Pradesh, orders for transfer of twenty-seven judges along with their appointment at new places with immediate effect have been issued on Thursday.

Himachal Pradesh High Court administration has issued complete orders for immediate appointment of not only the judges but also the Additional District Judges among the twenty-seven judges at a new place on Thursday itself.

As per the strict orders of the Himachal Pradesh High Court Administration, out of the twenty-seven transferred judges, in the notification, the above seven judges have been given a deadline of June 3 for appointment to a new place.

All the remaining twenty judges will have to take charge at the new place with immediate effect before the 10th of this month.
