Kangra, August 21: A heart-wrenching incident has occurred under Police Outpost Ranital under Dehra Assembly Constituency. Here, a family’s health suddenly deteriorated after eating food. Due to which 2 girls aged 3 and 7 died, while the mother’s condition remains critical. The family is from Bareilly, UP, who had been living near Ranital and doing hard labour for the last 4 years.
It is being told that at night all the members of the family had dinner and went to sleep. But late at night, the health of the younger daughter of the family, Anshika (3), suddenly deteriorated, after which she was taken to the Sub-Divisional Hospital Dehra, where the doctors declared her dead. After this, the health of the elder daughter Khushi (7) also deteriorated, who was immediately taken to Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College Tanda. But she was also declared dead by the doctors. After the incident, the mother of the girls also fell ill and was admitted to Tanda Hospital where her condition remains critical. Police reached the spot and collected food samples.
Police officer confirmed that a case has been registered under section 194 of the Indian Security Act. Post-mortem of the bodies of both the girls will be conducted. Police is now investigating what was in the food that caused the death of the two girls. Police said that the real reason behind this incident will be known only after investigation.
