Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Solan, April 26: A farmer has died on the spot after getting burnt in a massive fire in a wheat field due to short circuit in Abhipur village of Changar area in Nalagarh sub-division of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh.
The accident was so painful that the poor farmer was harvesting the wheat crop from the field when suddenly there was a short circuit in the wires above the field and a fire broke out in the pile kept near the harvested wheat.
Then the fire was being extinguished by the farmer and the people present around him, when the fire took a fierce form and the elderly farmer could not even come out due to being surrounded by the fire and he lost his life by getting burnt alive.
Immediately people called a vehicle from the private fire department to extinguish the fire. Even after extinguishing the fire, the life of the farmer could not be saved and he died. The family suffered a loss of lakhs and also lost one life and the government and The administration has not even provided immediate relief. In the context of the entire incident, ASP Baddi Ashok Verma told on phone that the death of the farmer due to a massive fire due to short circuit in the wheat field is tragic. The body was handed over by the police after post-mortem. The police have registered the case under various sections and started action.
