Himachal Election: BJP is campaigning by considering the elections as national level, issues of development of Himachal are missing.
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, May 06:Himachal Pradesh Politics is heated due to Lok Sabha elections on four seats and by-elections on six assembly seats.At present the top leaders of the state have made the political atmosphere heated in their respective areas.On one hand, Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of candidates for all four Lok Sabha and six assembly by-election seats, while on the other hand, the ruling Congress party has announced candidates for four Lok Sabha seats and three assembly by-election seats. While the names of the candidates for the three assembly by-election seats are yet to be announced.

Voting on all the seats of Himachal in the seventh and final phase is going to be held on June 1 and the process of nomination of candidates is going to start from Tuesday, May 7. At present, there is a phase of verbal attack on each other by the candidates.
If we look at the election campaign of the current candidates, there is only a phase of sharp personal attacks and allegations against each other. Be it BJP or Congress, the leaders of both the parties are trying to attract vote banks by attacking each other in front of the public.
In the election campaign of the candidates, there is no focus on the people of Himachal Pradesh and the issues of development of the country and Himachal. Till now no leader wants to talk about the development of the state, employment to the youth, poor health system and quality education.Most of the attention of Himachal Pradesh and the whole world is on Mandi Lok Sabha seat, but the candidates are trying to shine their politics only by attacking each other every day.
Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, while on the other hand, Congress Party has given ticket to flamboyant PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh. In the current campaign, both the candidates are misleading the public only by making personal attacks.
The ruling Congress party has also pushed Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu into the election campaign.
In his election rallies and meetings, CM Sukhu is talking about showing to the public the evidence of the MLAs who rebelled against the Congress party and joined the BJP, being sold for Rs 10 crore each.
Apart from this, Congress leaders are also accusing the Modi government at the Center of not giving disaster relief funds to Himachal Pradesh in the heart-wrenching natural disaster that occurred in Himachal Pradesh.
On the other hand, opposition leader Jairam Thakur is terming CM Sukhu’s government as unstable in his election road shows & meetings And Jairam Thakur is saying that due to the betrayal of CM Sukhu, six Congress MLAs have decided to join BJP.
