Himachal: Education Department Again Extended The Application Date For 10 Scholarships.

First year students of colleges across Himachal Pradesh can now apply for 10 different scholarships till 10th February. This facility has been provided for students who are not able to apply for scholarship due to some reason.
For the convenience of the students, the Himachal Pradesh Education Department has now extended the date of scholarships for the third time so that the students do not have to face any kind of difficulties in applying.
Earlier the date for application of scholarships was kept as 30th November and 31st December. Now an important decision has been taken to extend the date of application for scholarships from 31 January to 10 February.
All eligible students will have to complete the online application process for scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal. After completing the online application process, scholarship is provided by the Education Department to all the eligible students for three years.
At the same time, second and third year students enrolled in colleges taking advantage of the scholarship scheme are required to renew their scholarship documents.
Scholarships are provided by the Central and Himachal Pradesh governments at the college level to the meritorious children of poor families to provide financial assistance in their studies so that the students can get help in college studies.
Scholarships are awarded to students for only three years in college.
Scholarships include Chief Minister Protsahan Yojana, Maharishi Valmiki Scholarship Scheme, IRDP, Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Scholarship Scheme for SC and OBC category students, Thakur Sen Negi Excellent Scholarship Scheme, Kalpana Chawla Scholarship Scheme, Dr. Ambedkar Post for poor category students. Matric Scholarship Scheme, Indira Gandhi Excellent Scholarship Scheme and Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC, ST and OBC category students are included.
The date of online application process for various scholarships under the academic session 2023-24 has now been extended till 10th February. All eligible students can apply online on the National Scholarship Portal. After completing the online application process, it is mandatory for all eligible students to submit their documents to the college office. After this, the documents of eligible students will be verified and uploaded on the portal.
