Shimla, July 13: Infighting in Dehra seat of Kangra district and Nalagarh seat of Solan district sank the BJP’s boat. In both these seats, BJP’s own people had opened a front against the BJP candidates. In Dehra seat, BJP’s strong leader and former minister Ramesh Dhawala was publicly attacking Hoshyar Singh. Former minister Ravinder Ravi, who was BJP MLA from Dehra in 2012, also kept distance from campaigning. Hoshyar Singh had contested the last two assembly elections as an independent candidate and this time he was contesting on a BJP ticket. BJP cadre was also angry with this.

BJP had to face defeat due to rebellion in Nalagarh constituency too. He got more than 13 thousand votes, due to which BJP’s cadre vote got divided and BJP candidate KL Thakur lost the election. BJP’s state leadership also failed to convince Harpreet Saini. Harpreet Saini’s uncle late Harinarayan Saini was a strong leader of BJP and had been MLA from Nalagarh constituency many times. Due to his good influence in the constituency, Harpreet Saini took more than 13 thousand votes.
