Mandi, July 12: The Himachal Pradesh Government-run Milk Federation has increased the prices of ghee, butter and paneer by 50, 30 and 20 rupees respectively. Now consumers have to loosen their pockets more to buy ghee, butter and paneer.

It is a matter of relief for the consumers that the Milk Federation has not increased the price of milk.

Himachal Pradesh Government-run Milk Federation’s Him Ghee was earlier available at Rs. 650 per liter but now its price has been increased by Rs. 50 to Rs. 700.

Also, Milk Federation’s butter which was earlier available at Rs. 550 per kg has also been increased by Rs. 30. Butter is now available at Rs. 580 per kg.

Paneer has also been increased by Rs. 20. Paneer can now be bought at Rs. 360 per kg instead of Rs. 340.

Milk Federation’s Marketing Manager Sandeep Thakur said that new rates have been implemented from June 20.

It is worth noting that the Milk Federation has more than 150 outlets in the Entire Himachal Pradesh. Where these products are sold and a large number of people buy them. In such a situation, people are protesting against the increase in the prices of these food items used in everyday life.

Consumers Neeraj Sharma and Rashmi Joshi said that by increasing the prices so much, the Himachal Pradesh government has tried to distance the common man from these products. The Himachal Pradesh government should reduce the prices of the products and implement the old rates again.

Let us tell you that the Milk Federation has not increased the prices of packaged milk, curd, Him khoya, butter milk and flavored milk products. Him khoya is available at Rs 340 per kg, butter milk at Rs 20, Him curd at Rs 70, Peeled curd at Rs 65, milk at Rs 60 and flavored milk at Rs 30 only.
