Nahan, July 01: A case of suicide by a Public Works Department (PWD) worker has come to light in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. According to the Sirmaur Police Officials, the deceased PWD worker committed suicide by shooting himself. The forensic team that reached the spot visited the spot and collected all the important evidence and sent it to Kandaghat Lab for investigation report. The post-mortem of the deceased PWD worker will be conducted on Tuesday at Nahan Medical College.

According to the preliminary investigation of Sirmaur Police, the deceased PWD worker was suffering from depression for some time. The deceased PWD worker has been identified by the Sirmaur Police Officials as 52-year-old Ram Kishan, son of late Mata Ram, who was a resident of Dabrog village, Tehsil Dadahu.

Sirmaur police officials said that the deceased PWD worker Ram Kishan shot himself with his licensed gun in the room of his house on Sunday evening at around 7.15 pm. Hearing the gunshot, the son of the deceased PWD worker reached the spot, but by then Ram Kishan had died.

According to Sirmaur police officials, the son of the deceased PWD worker Ram Kishan also suspected that his father was in depression and could take some wrong step.

The Pradhan of Dabrog Panchayat also tried to convince PWD worker Ram Kishan during the day, but in the evening PWD worker Ram Kishan committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed gun in the room of his house.

On receiving the information about the suicide of PWD worker Ram Kishan, Renuka Ji Police Station in-charge and his team reached the spot and considering the seriousness of the whole matter, FSL team was called on the spot.

Renuka Ji Police Station in-charge has sent the body of the deceased PWD worker Ram Kishan to Nahan Medical College for postmortem. Along with this, the investigation of the entire case has been started by confiscating the gun from the spot.

Sirmaur District Police Administration Superintendent Raman Kumar Meena confirmed the entire suicide case and said that Renuka Ji Police Station in-charge has registered a case and is investigating the entire matter thoroughly.
