Taking strict action with immediate effect, the management of Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Medical College (YSPMC Nahan) has suspended 9 MBBS trainees of 2022 batch for 45 days. Along with the suspension, a fine of Rs. 50 thousand has also been imposed on the 9 MBBS trainees who indulged in ragging. Apart from this, the 9 MBBS trainees who were suspended by Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Medical College (YSPMC Nahan) management has also been banned for one year from participating in sports and other programs of Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Medical College (YSPMC Nahan).

The entire ragging incident took place on March 4. The trainees of the 2023 batch had filed a complaint saying that the 9 MBBS seniors trainees had used abusive language during ragging. As soon as the entire matter came to the notice of Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Medical College (YSPMC Nahan) management hastily called a meeting of the Anti Ragging Committee on Wednesday evening. In the Anti Ragging Committee meeting, an important decision was taken to suspend All 9 MBBS senior trainees of 2022 batch who indulged in ragging for 45 days with immediate effect, along with imposing a fine of Rs 50,000 on 9 MBBS senior trainees of 2022 batch who indulged in ragging has been decided in the important meeting of the Anti Ragging Committee, it was also decided that only abusive language was used during ragging. Therefore, a criminal case should not be registered. It was also decided in the meeting that Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Medical College (YSPMC Nahan) management will take appropriate action at its own level against 9 MBBS senoir trainees of 2022 batch.
