Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Solan, April 06: Major negligence of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has come to light in Chambaghat, Solan. Due to the flyover work under construction, a large piece of iron fell on the rear windshield of a moving car. Due to which the rear glass of the car was broken. A family including children was traveling in the car. The fortunate thing is that no major accident occurred.

According to the information, Shimla resident Khemraj Sharma was coming from Shimla towards Solan in a car (HP63D3543) with his wife and small children. During this time, as soon as the car crossed under the under-construction flyover, a large piece of iron fell down from the flyover and hit the rear glass of the car. Due to which the glass of the car was broken. If this piece of iron had fallen on the front glass or roof of the car, someone could have died.

On receiving information about the accident, the police team reached the spot and took action. NHAI has also admitted its mistake in this regard.
