Himachal Big Fraud: A Delhi-based woman doctor duped a victim from Sundar Nagar of Rs 19 lakh on the pretext of getting him admission in an MBBS college

Sundernagar, June 25: A case of fraud of Rs 19 lakh in the name of getting admission in MBBS course has come to light in Sundernagar subdivision of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. A case has been registered by Dhanotu police station in-charge for fraud and criminal conspiracy. Along with this, the accused woman has been arrested by Dhanotu police station in-charge and his team by taking immediate action.

After that, the woman accused of fraud and criminal conspiracy was presented in Sundarnagar court on Monday by the Dhanotu police station in-charge, from where the court sent the accused woman on 4-day Mandi police remand. The accused woman has been identified by the Dhanotu police station in-charge as Parul Sharma, M/s Study Seven Seas A-72, 4th Floor, ST. 4, Pratap Ganj, Madhu Vihar Main Market, Delhi.

Apart from this, strict interrogation has also been started by Mandi Police regarding the involvement of other accused in the entire fraud case.

Victim Sunil Kumar son of late Khayali Ram resident of village Naulakha, Post Office Kanaid, Tehsil Sundernagar, District Mandi had given a complaint letter to Dhanotu Police Station In-charge on 21st August 2023, in which victim Sunil Kumar had told that his daughter had got less marks in the Medical College Entrance NEET (MBBS) examination of the year 2021. Regarding this, he had talked to his friend Vinod Kumar, resident of Purana Bazar, Sundernagar.

Victim Sunil Kumar was told by his friend Vinod Kumar about a doctor friend of his living in Delhi and he gave information about getting victim Sunil Kumar’s daughter admitted in a good private college for MBBS.

Before going to Delhi, on 18-12-2021, the victim Sunil Kumar had sent Rs 2 lakh from Vinod Kumar’s account to the account of Study Seven Seas as advance as per the instructions of accused Parul Sharma.

Victim Sunil Kumar told the Dhanotu police station in-charge that whenever there was any talk about MBBS seat, only his friend Vinod Kumar used to talk to accused Parul Sharma. After this, on the behest of Parul Sharma, victim Sunil Kumar transferred one lakh from his account on 23rd March 2022, 9 lakhs on 8th April 2022 and 2 lakhs from Vinod’s account on 5th April 2022, 5 lakhs on 10th April 2022.

Victim Sunil Kumar told the Dhanotu police station in-charge that a total of 9 lakh rupees from his friend Vinod Kumar’s account has been transferred to the accounts on his behalf as per the instructions of accused Parul Sharma. But after this, the victim Sunil Kumar’s daughter has not been admitted to any college by the accused Parul Sharma.

Regarding the entire fraud and cheating case, DSP Sundarnagar Bharat Bhushan said that the accused woman Parul Sharma has been arrested by Dhanotu police station in-charge and his team. Also, the accused woman Parul Sharma has been sent to Mandi police remand for 4 days by the court, And investigation has been started by strictly interrogating the accused woman Parul Sharma regarding the involvement of other accused in the entire fraud and cheating case.

DSP Sundernagar Bharat Bhushan said that a strict investigation has been started by Dhanotu police station in-charge and his team keeping in mind every aspect of the entire fraud and cheating case.
