Himachal: A Person poured petrol on his body and started burning it on the middle of the road.
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Una, April 25:Â Rajiv Kaushal, a resident of Tahliwal, Haroli sub-division of Una district of Himachal Pradesh, reached the old bus stand chowk of Una city in his Activa early in the morning on Thursday and first stopped the Activa in the middle of the road. And he took out a bottle full of petrol and poured it all over his body. After that he took out a matchbox from his pocket and was about to set it on fire when the traffic police employee Chhanga Ram and shopkeeper Simranjit Singh Saini standing nearby saved Rajiv Kaushal from burning.
The video of the entire incident has come in CCTV camera. Rajeev Kaushal alleged that the police is cheating his family in his case.
Una District Police Administration Superintendent Rakesh Singh said that CCTV footage has been received of Rajiv Kaushal burning himself at the Old Bus Stand Chowk in Una city. Rajiv Kaushal has been brought to the city police post and interrogation has been started.
