Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 28: A very painful accident has occurred due to landslide in Kurdu Sanail around 2 pm near Hatkoti-Paonta National Highway-707 under Jubbal police station area of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.In which two youths traveling in the Bolero died on the spot after a Bolero train number HP10B-2308 got buried due to landslide. Both the deceased have been identified as Rohru sub-division of Shimla district. Jubbal police station in-charge said that due to heavy landslide in Kurdu Sanail of Hatkoti-Paonta National Highway-707 around 2 pm on Sunday, the Bolero vehicle was completely buried due to which two people died. Hatkoti-Paonta National Highway-707 has been closed after the accident.

Jubbal police station in-charge said that cutting work was going on at the time of landslide on the banks of Kurdu Sanail of Hatkoti-Paonta National Highway-707, due to which this accident occurred.

In the accident, Vishambar, aged fifty years, son of Keshav Ram, resident of village Palakan Post Office, Rohru Tehsil Rohru and Satish, aged fifty-two years, son of Pritam Singh, resident of village Dhara Post Office, Lowerkoti Tehsil Rohru, have died.

As soon as the information about the landslide was received, Jubbal police station in-charge arrived with a full police force and in the rescue operation, removed extremely heavy and sharp rocks and stones. He saw that the Bolero was completely buried. Machinery was called on the spot and all the stones were removed. Bodies of both the dead youths have been recovered. DSP Rohru Ravindra Negi said that Jubbal police is investigating from all angles.
