Two government employees of District Food Supply Department, Hamirpur have been caught red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 5,000 by the special teams of Vigilance Police Station Hamirpur.
The entire action has been carried out by the special teams of Vigilance Police Station Hamirpur in the District Food Supply Department warehouse located at Pakka Bharo, adjacent to Hamirpur District Administration Headquarters, on Friday evening.
Both the main accused of the District Food Supply Department were demanding a bribe of five thousand rupees from the contractor in exchange for releasing the supply of government cement.
After receiving the complaint from the contractor, the two main accused were caught red handed while taking bribe by laying a trap by the special teams of Vigilance Police Station Hamirpur.
Both the main accused have been identified as Neel Kamal, store keeper and helper Devesh of District Food Supply Department, Hamirpur by Vigilance police station in-charge, Hamirpur.
ASP Vigilance Police Station Hamirpur Renu Sharma told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that both government employees, store keeper Neel Kamal and helper Devesh, have been caught red-handed with a bribe of Rs 5,000 and have been arrested for further action.
