Gupt Navratri has started on Saturday in the world famous Jwalamukhi Temple of Kangra District. Gupt Navratri was formally started with Kanya Puja by Jwalamukhi Assembly Constituency MLA Sanjay Ratna, Jwalamukhi Temple Officer Anil Saundhi, Tehsildar Manohar Lal Sharma, Jwalamukhi Temple Trust member Priest Avinendra Sharma, Divyanshu Bhushan Dutt and all other Trust members.

In the Shaktipeeths of Himachal Pradesh, Gupt Navratri has started from 10th February, Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Magh month, which is going to continue till 18th February.

Gupt Navratri has started on Saturday in the world famous Jwalamukhi Temple of Kangra District. Gupt Navratri was formally started with Kanya Puja by Jwalamukhi Assembly Constituency MLA Sanjay Ratna, Jwalamukhi Temple Officer Anil Saundhi, Tehsildar Manohar Lal Sharma, Jwalamukhi Temple Trust member Priest Avinendra Sharma, Divyanshu Bhushan Dutt and all other Trust members.

Along with the puja, 51 priests and scholar pundits were also given a formal resolution to chant Jwalamukhi Mata.

On the occasion of the resolution, the priest class is going to continue chanting, worship and recitation for world welfare and world peace in Jwalamukhi Temple for eight consecutive days.

In Gupt Navratri, basic mantras of Maa Jwala, Batuk Bhairav, Ganpati, Gayatri and Durga Saptashati are to be recited along with chanting.

All the ancient traditions have been maintained by the Jwalamukhi Temple Trust and Pujari Mahasabha.

Jwalamukhi MLA Sanjay Ratna has also performed Kanya Puja after the formal puja. MLA Sanjay Ratna congratulated all the people of the state on Gupt Navratri and told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that Mata Jwala provides happiness and peace in everyone’s life. Blessings of Mata Jwala always remain on everyone.

Avinendra Sharma, priest and trustee member of Jwalamukhi Temple, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the Gupt Navratri of Magh month has started following the ancient traditions and for welfare of the world, all the priests are chanting and reciting for eight consecutive days.
