Shimla – The Himachal Pradesh government has given people only two hours of time to burn green crackers on the day of Diwali in the entire Himachal Pradesh.

In Himachal Pradesh, the Himachal Pradesh government has fixed the time for burning green crackers only from 8 pm to 10 pm on the night of Diwali in the entire Himachal Pradesh.

This important step has been taken by the Government of Himachal Pradesh keeping in mind all the guidelines of the Honorable Supreme Court of India and all the orders of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).

Green crackers will be lit only for two hours in entire Himachal Pradesh –

In Himachal Pradesh, green crackers can be burnt this year only from around 8 pm to 10 pm on the night of Diwali as per the orders of the Himachal Pradesh government.

As per all the guidelines of the Honorable Supreme Court of India and all the important orders of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), the Government of Himachal Pradesh has limited the time for bursting of green crackers in the entire Himachal Pradesh to only two hours.

Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board has issued orders for strict action by strictly implementing the orders related to green firecrackers through letters to the Deputy Commissioners of the twelve district administrations and all the District Superintendents of Police of Himachal Pradesh.

Anil Joshi, Chief Member Secretary, Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that as per the order issued by the National Green Tribunal (NGT), all the highly sensitive cities are actively working to stop the increasing air pollution. National Green Tribunal (NGT) implementing complete ban on firecrackers in the sensitive states.

On the other hand, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) has given permission to burn only green firecrackers within two hours of the night in all moderate and general category cities.

There will be a complete ban on firecrackers in all the VIP silence zones of Himachal Pradesh, provision for special punishment has been made –

According to all the important guidelines of the Honorable Supreme Court, a complete ban has been imposed on bursting of firecrackers within a radius of 100 meters in any silence zone like hospitals, nursing homes, primary and district health centres, premises of all educational institutions.

Under the Air Pollution Prevention and Complete Control Act of the Government of India, 1981, there was also a provision of imprisonment for five years or a special fine of Rs 1 lakh for all violations of Noise Pollution Regulation and Control Rules and Environment Protection Act 1986.National Green Tribunal (NGT) Is Implementing Complete Ban on firecrackers.

Know what are green crackers –

Central CSIR NEERE of the Government of India has manufactured green firecrackers which do not cause air pollution. Green crackers do not use all the important chemical substances like aluminum and potassium nitrate.
CSIR NEERE, a central institute of the Government of India, has used such low quantity of chemicals like aluminum and potassium nitrate in green crackers that any kind of smoke and air pollution can be recorded at a minimum level.

This will be the timing of bursting of green crackers by Himachal Pradesh government –

1) The timing of burning green crackers on the day of Guru Parva on 27th November has been fixed by Himachal Pradesh Government from 4 pm to 5 pm and from 9 pm to 10 pm.

2) On Christmas day, on 25th and 26th December, the time for burning green crackers has been kept from 11:55 pm to 12:30 pm.

3) On the entire festive evening of New Year, from December 31st to December 1st, the time for burning green crackers is from 11:55 pm to 12:30 pm, as per the order of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) issued by the Himachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board. The time for burning green crackers has been set up by Himachal Pradesh Government.
