G20 Summit : 3rd G20 FMCBG meeting on July 17-18 in Gandhinagar

The third meeting of the G20 Finance Ministers, Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) under the chairmanship of India will be held on July 17 and 18 in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat. It will be jointly chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das.

Many important issues will be discussed

The FMCBG meeting will be held on July 17 and 18 in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat. Earlier today on 14th and tomorrow on 15th July there will be a conference of G20 finance and central bank representatives in Gandhinagar. In this, many issues related to the global economy and international financial structure will be discussed.

FMCBG meeting will be attended by 66 delegates from 19 countries and EU

These meetings are being held in the G20 chaired by India. The FMCBG meeting, to be chaired by Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das, will be attended by 66 delegates from 19 countries and the European Union (EU). The purpose of the third G20 FMCBG is to review the results of the G20 Finance Track and seek guidance from ministers and governors on how to move forward.

Points of IFWG meeting held in Goa to be taken up in FMCBG meeting

To be known, earlier the third meeting of the G20 International Financial Architecture Working Group (IFAWG) was held in Goa on 7 June 2023. The discussions in that meeting finalized the Constructive Points of the International Financial Structure Working Group, which will be presented at the 3rd Meeting of Finance Ministers and Major Banks (FMCBG) of the G20 Member States to be held on July 17 and 18, 2023 in Gandhinagar, India.
