France bans TikTok from govt devices amid cybersecurity risks

In the latest move to tackle risks related to privacy and cyber security, the French government has banned Chinese video-sharing application TikTok on government equipment, NHK World reported. The French government has reportedly banned TikTok on the work phones of public sector employees. On Friday, French Public Service Minister Stanislas Guerini announced that China-owned video-sharing software TikTok would no longer be allowed on the work phones of civil servants.
