Himachal: Promotion of four IAS officers, Omkar Sharma and Anuradha Thakur made Additional Chief Secretaries

IAS officer Omkar Sharma and IAS officer Anuradha Thakur have been promoted as additional chief secretaries (ACS). 1994 cadre IAS officer Omkar Sharma and IAS officer Anuradha Thakur have been promoted as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) by the Government of Himachal Pradesh on completion of thirty years of service in the IAS. Also, on completing twenty-five years of service in IAS, IAS officer Dr. Amandeep Garg and IAS officer Pushpendra Rajput have been promoted as Chief Principal Secretaries by the Himachal Pradesh government. IAS officer Anuradha Thakur and IAS officer Pushpendra Rajput are currently on central deputation, hence both the IAS officers have been promoted on performance basis. After returning to Himachal Pradesh, both the IAS officers will be given promotion designation by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. On Wednesday, Himachal Pradesh Personnel Department has issued a notification regarding the promotion of IAS officer Anuradha Thakur and IAS officer Pushpendra Rajput.

Additional Chief Secretary Omkar Sharma and Additional Chief Secretary Anuradha Thakur of the Government of Himachal Pradesh will be given apex scale of Rs 2,25,000 in level 17 of the pay matrix.
Principal Secretary of Himachal Pradesh Government, Dr. Amandeep Garg and Principal Secretary Pushpendra Rajput will be provided pay matrix of Super Time Scale of IAS Level 15.
IAS officer Omkar Sharma currently has the responsibility of Revenue, Jal Shakti as well as Tribal Development Department.
Also, IAS officer Anuradha Thakur is currently working as Additional Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
IAS officer Omkar Sharma and IAS officer Anuradha Thakur are officers of the year 1994 batch. Also, IAS officer Dr. Amandeep Garg and IAS officer Pushpendra Rajput are IAS officers of the year 1994. IAS officer Dr. Amandeep Garg currently holds the responsibility of Himachal Pradesh Personnel and Forest Department. IAS officer Pushpendra Rajput is serving in the Government of India as Additional Secretary in the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi.
Number of Chief Principal Secretaries in Himachal Pradesh Government increased to five –
With the promotion of IAS officer Dr. Amandeep Garg, the number of Chief Principal Secretaries in the Himachal Pradesh government has now increased to five. Presently IAS officer Bharat Kheda, IAS officer RD Nazim, IAS officer Manish Garg and IAS officer Devesh Kumar are working on the post of Principal Secretary.
On the other hand, IAS officer Omkar Sharma is going to be the only Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in the Himachal Pradesh government.
IAS officer Nisha Singh and IAS officer Sanjay Gupta, who served as Additional Chief Secretary, have been appointed to other posts by the Himachal Pradesh government.
