Bilaspur, June 22: Former Congress Sadar MLA Bumber Thakur along with Congress party Karyakartas took out a rally against BJP MLA Trilok Jamwal on Saturday regarding the firing incident near the district court.
Former Congress Sadar MLA Bumber Thakur during the rally made serious allegations against BJP MLA Trilok Jamwal of giving protection to Chitta mafias and making a deadly attack on him. Bumber Thakur also accused Himachal Pradesh DGP and BJP of plotting his murder.

During the rally, Bumber Thakur said that the Himachal Pradesh DGP is taking out his 20-year-old grudge against him.
Bamber said that the conspirators of the entire shooting incident are Himachal Pradesh DGP Atul Verma and BJP MLA Trilok Jamwal. During this, Bamber Thakur became emotional.
Let us tell you that Himachal Pradesh DGP Atul Verma was posted as SP of Bilaspur district in the year 2001.
During the rally, Bumber Thakur said that if I am killed, then Himachal Pradesh DGP Atul Verma, Union Minister JP Nadda as well as BJP MLA Trilok Jamwal will be fully responsible for it, And perhaps this is going to be my last rally.
Along with this, a strong demonstration was also held by the BJP in the main market on Saturday in protest against the shootout outside Bilaspur District Court. MP Anurag Thakur, Himachal Pradesh BJP President Dr. Rajiv Bindal and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur were also present during the demonstration.
In the investigation of Bilaspur Police, Puranjan Thakur, the elder son of former Congress Sadar MLA Bumber Thakur, has been declared the mastermind of the shootout outside Bilaspur District Court.
Bilaspur District Superintendent of Police Vivek Chahal, while giving information about the investigation of the firing incident to the media in a press conference, said that during the strict police interrogation of the main accused shooter Sunny Gill, the main accused shooter Sunny Gill, while revealing the name of Puranjan Thakur, the elder son of former Congress Sadar MLA Bumber Thakur, has confessed that the entire conspiracy of the firing incident was hatched by Puranjan Thakur.

On 23 February 2024, former Congress Sadar MLA Bumber Thakur was attacked by some persons on Chandigarh-Manali NH in Mandi-Mandwan.
In the deadly attack, former Congress Sadar MLA Bumber Thakur suffered serious injuries on his nose and mouth. After which Bumber Thakur remained under treatment in the regional hospital. Seven shooters were arrested in the entire case.
