More than five lakh tourists have gathered to celebrate the festival of Christmas in the peaceful and snow covered, magnificent and beautiful valleys of Himachal Pradesh. Also, in Kullu district alone, in the last three days, it has been estimated that more than one lakh tourists arrived in more than eighteen thousand tourist vehicles and more than three hundred Volvo buses. Along with this, twenty-five hundred to three thousand tourists have arrived in Dharamshala and more than twenty-four hundred tourists in Chamba district in vehicles to celebrate the Christmas festival. All the heritage trains running on the world famous Kalka-Shimla railway track have been running completely packed for the last five days. Advance booking of all trains on Kalka-Shimla track has also been done till January 5.

Tourists are reaching the capital Shimla in large numbers by Volvo buses of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation, ordinary buses and all private buses. Shimla District Police Administration SP Sanjeev Gandhi told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that more than forty-five thousand vehicles have entered Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla in the last three days.
