Electric Vehicle: E Vehicles Will Be Able To Be Charged At Petrol Pumps In Himachal From Next Month

In Himachal Pradesh, under the first phase of the process, the Himachal Pradesh government has decided to commission electric vehicle charging stations at fifteen petrol pumps in the month of December.

In Himachal Pradesh, from next December, everyone will be able to charge their electric vehicles at petrol pumps with easy charging facility.
Under the first phase for electric charging stations, an important decision has been taken to commission electric vehicle charging stations at fifteen petrol pumps of Himachal Pradesh in the month of December.
In Himachal Pradesh, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) as well as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have approached Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) to install electric vehicle charging transformers in petrol pumps. The entire electrification work has been started by depositing money with Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL).
On behalf of Himachal Pradesh Government, guidelines have been issued to Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSLB) to start the electrification work of transformers keeping in mind all the necessary guidelines.
In Himachal Pradesh, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has started the facility of electric vehicle charging stations at seventeen petrol pumps and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) at three petrol pumps as well as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) at seven petrol pumps. An agreement has been signed with Himachal Pradesh Government for this electric vehicle charging stations work.
Also, it is going to start charging services of electric vehicles at fifteen petrol pumps in Himachal Pradesh from next December.
To promote the use of electric vehicles in Himachal Pradesh, all preparations have been completed to start electric vehicle charging stations at fifteen petrol pumps under the first phase of Himachal Pradesh from the month of December. Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), as well as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have approached Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) for installation of transformers at all petrol pumps in Himachal Pradesh. The work of electrification has been started by depositing the amount.

In Himachal Pradesh, two thousand four hundred and twenty-three electric vehicles were registered, in which one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four two-wheeler electric vehicles were registered –
So far, approximately two thousand four hundred twenty three electric vehicles have been registered in Himachal Pradesh, out of which one thousand eight hundred eighty four are two wheelers.
In terms of traveling by buses, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) is successfully operating electric buses throughout Himachal Pradesh. Private bus operators of Himachal Pradesh have not yet included a single electric vehicle in their fleet.
Also, the Himachal Pradesh government is providing fifty percent discount on the purchase of electric vehicles in Himachal Pradesh.
One hundred and seventy-eight passenger e-rickshaws and nine heavy duty e-rickshaws as well as forty-three e-maxi cabs and thirty omni buses have been registered so far in Himachal Pradesh.
Nine electric auto (three wheeler) vehicles are also being operated in Himachal Pradesh.
Also, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has constructed its own charging stations to charge the buses of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC).
