A two-storey joint house of eight rooms of four brothers has been completely burnt to ashes in Jagar village of Kalhani Panchayat of Thunag tehsil of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. In this massive fire incident, Mandi District Police Administration has estimated the loss to be more than Rs 5 lakh.

The entire incident of fire has been confirmed by Thunag Tehsildar Amit Kalthaik of Mandi district.

Mandi District Police has registered the entire case and started the investigation process.

According to complete information received from Mandi District Police Administration, a fire suddenly broke out in the slate-clad house of four brothers four brothers Vedram, Roshan Lal, Kundan Lal and Ganga Ram, sons of Maghu, of Jagar village of Kalhani Panchayat, at around ten in the morning.

As soon as the fire broke out, there was an atmosphere of panic among the family members all around and all the local villagers of Jagar village reached the spot to extinguish the fire.

All the villagers tried to extinguish the fire by connecting water lines and filling water in buckets. But within no time the entire house was burnt to ashes.

Halka Patwari has visited the incident site of Jagar village and after assessing the damage caused by the massive fire, the report has been sent to Tehsildar Thunag.

Tehsildar Thunag Amit Kalthaik told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that tarpaulins and relief money have been provided to all the affected people.

Mandi District Police Administration SP Soumya Sambasivan told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the investigation process into the fire incident has been started by the Mandi District Police Administration.
